I am still praying and searching for the right partner
Greetings in the name of Jesus.
I want to know one thing, does God want everybody to get married ??? I have been praying, sowing seeds and waiting upon the Lord to get married, but to no avail.
I got a lot of prophecies that God is blessing me with a white wedding and a husband , and I will discern my husband when he comes. Two years back, I met a guy and was very sure that he is my husband. We now have a child of 1 year old. We were planning on getting married last year December, but something strange happened.
He went to a church for one day, when he came back, he said he is no more marrying me, I must leave with my son. He got married to the Pastor of that church, a younger sister. They got married in June 08, 2008. I am now raising my son alone. He is not part of him, since he went to that church, he is no more supporting his son or want to be part of his life. He says he is doing the will of God marrying this woman. He was told by this lady that God said he must marry her.
Now I am in doubt of God. I have a challenge of believing in God anymore. I have this feeling that God is really trying to cause me pain deliberately, and why would he give me a child and after my sons father decided to marry me, he tells him to marry somebody else. Did God give me a child to punish me, and does He hates me so much that he blessed this girl with a my husband? So he favored this girl more than me and she deserved to be married and I don't ??? So I deserve to raise a child alone and she doesnt? There must be something she is doing that I don't know.

Let me start by saying that God loves all of His children and that I believe includes you. Even though you had an unfortunate experience with the father of your child, God still loves you. God is not responsible for the actions and behaviour of people. I wonder if the lady he got married to knew that he had already fathered a child and promised to marry the mother of his child. I also do not understand why he is not supporting his child. You can seek legal help concerning this because it is his responsibility to take care of his child.
I believe that you can still get married. But you must believe that you will get married and apply practical principles that will help you to get married and stay married. I also believe that a bad experience like the one you had is not completely useless if you learn from it.
Never allow any situation to take your faith from you, when there is no one else with you, God is always there, lean on Him, talk to Him, He will surely help you.
Refuse to allow your past to hinder you from having a glorious future. God always has a back up plan for those who love Him.
Get back to God, go to a good church where the Word of God is preached and practiced, get involved there and make friends. The future is too bright to waste!
