Christians, Muslims, other religions, are we all worshipping the same God?

This issue has always bothered me. I have discussed the question with so many "Christians" but i am shocked that so manyof them say we are all worshipping the same God. Its like we Christians are compromising the word of God. Its like we are scared to stand up on the side of Jesus.
How can we Christians agree that all of us are worshipping the same God when Muslims claim that Jesus is not God? The islamic understanding of Jesus Christ is that He is just another prophet. But we Christians believe that He is God who came to live with us. Some so called Christian musicians like Sunny Ade (in Nigeria) has a popular song that we are all worshipping the same God but our difference is religion, meaning mode of worshipping God.
I have also heard some Christians say the difference between Christians and Muslims is that of Isaac and Ishmael. And since both siblings came from Abraham, we are all worshipping the same God. This genuine confuse me.
Jesus has said that "I am the way, the truth and the light. No one comes to the Father except through me." Now, if we agree that we are all worshipping the same God, is Jesus telling lies? Is Jesus not sure of Himself?
Does it mean Muslims, Bhuddists, Judaists, etc who are good with their religions can also see God even without believing Christ?
This question has nothing to do with my salvation because i am saved. But in the course of witnessing Christ, i have come face to face with this question and i don't know to handle this issue. I hope someone will respond to me.

Who is our God?
He is the father of our Lord Jesus. A religion that does not acknowledge God as the Father of our Lord Jesus is not serving the same God as we are. Sometimes people feel that it is easier to believe that we are serving the same God so that they do not have to antagonize people of other faiths, but we cannot reach out to them and win them for Christ if we believe that we are serving the same God. The truth is we are not serving the same God. When Saul of Tarsus thought that he was serving God by killing Christians, he was reprimanded on the way to Damascus , and was told that he was persecuting the Lord. He thought that he was doing God a favour by attacking Christians, he thought the Christians were not serving God while he was serving God, but he later found out the truth and began to serve God with a passion. I believe there are many genuine people of other faiths who really believe that they are serving the one and only true God, but they do not yet realize the truth, our prayer is that they will have an encounter with Jesus Christ and surrender their hearts to him, nobody can come to God without coming through Jesus. John 14:6

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Another issue that separates many religions is the issue of seeing the almighty God as our Father. The religions of the world see God as a distant creator and not as a Loving Father.
Rom 1:7

To all that be in Rome , beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
The supreme divinity and Highest being is also our father. There is no one beside Him, no one in His class, He knows all things and He is all powerful. He lives from eternity to eternity and one day we will see Him and live with Him eternally.
On this hope lies the essentiality of the Christian faith.
Any religion that does not believe that Jesus Christ came to this world as the Son of God who takes away the sins of the world is not worshipping the same God as we are.
This truth is what we have been called to go into the world to preach to every creature. 1 John 2:22-23

“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.”
We Christians need to get serious with evangelism and start witnessing to unbelievers with a new passion and zeal. Jesus is coming soon!
