Seeing people after their death?

Q I want to find out what a believer's position should be on the experience of some people seeing a person who, unknown to them, has died. It is a common experience here that people who never knew someone has died often see them days after their death and they engage in conversation. This happen either real life or in dreams. Some of this people are believers. Is their souls wandering about?

Now, the bible doesn't say anything specifically about whether people can see us after we have died or can speak to us in the dream, the bible doesn't say anything directly specifically concerning this, but we know that from human experience and then other things we have learnt from the word of God give us an insight to what we can use to explain the particular phenomenon. Yes people can see them, people can see someone who died in Lagos , a born again and can say, "I still saw him yesterday in Kaduna ". It is not impossible. But please listen to me, I do not want to be misunderstood here because people can take a sentence and run away with it and say that's what Pastor Lanre said. No! Please listen to me very well and carefully , people can "see" them, but the truth about the matter is that it's not the actual person they are seeing. It's not that person they are seeing but beings called "familiar spirit" most people do not understand familiar spirit. A familiar spirit is a spirit that is familiar to the person in question for example there was a spirit that was familiar with Samuel and that spirit was able to behave like Samuel, he spoke like Samuel, he said why did you wake me up from my sleep and such things. Now he's able to behave like Samuel because he was a familiar spirit, familiar with Samuel now so also we have this familiar spirit who was familiar with somebody that spirit can take on that persons appearance and begin to behave like that person and other person will say "I saw him" you didn't really see him. When I said it's possible to "see" them my said is in quote. It's not really that person, it's some spirit trying to continue to fool people, making people to believe that when people die in Umuahia, you can see them in Cameroon and things like that. The devil has spread this around so much that people believe in all that stuff and so he keeps doing it to make people believe that kind of stuff. It is a familiar spirit. Why can't it appear to those that know the person has died, they would not, they will run away, because that means it must be some spiritual tricks somewhere Praise the Lord!. Then as seeing them in the dream is the same thing, it is still familiar spirits playing games here and there, you will hear somebody say "My husband died but he's been coming to this house, he visits us, we hear his footsteps around the house, he normally seats on the chair. "These are all demonic activities to keep you fooled in that ignorance or in that confusion that has been there for many years. Praise the Lord! Finally. What happen to the spirit of a believer before returning to the dust? Now the bible says from our understanding of the bible, the bible says when a child of God dies, the child of God goes to heaven, because if you read what Paul wrote in the bible about himself. He said "to be with you is more beneficial but I prefer to go and be with the Lord". Paul seemed to expect that when he die he was going to be with the Lord, Paul didn't expect to go anywhere else, so when a believer dies, he goes where the Lord is, he goes to where Jesus Christ is, that's what we understand from the writing of Paul. Praise the Lord.
