10 Kinds of Churches around us
The finances of real men
Pentecostal churches have failed us Evangelist Dan C. Daniels

Really, this is a great message from this man of God. Most Churches do not care about their environment, unknown to them that the quickest news about them are spread by people living near the Churches. Many pastors care first for themselves rather than the church. Some pastors wear suits worth N120,000 just as I read in an interview here, and their immediate lieutenants wallow in poverty. Its a big shame in Nigeria. And that is why our Churches are getting bad names daily because the pastors acquit themselves badly.
Tilade Ojo,
Lagos.

Im blessed by this article. African pastors rush to Europe and America not for evangelism, but for dollars. And when the money is made, they spend it on themselves rather than on evangelism. I was in Nigerian and Ghana recently. Not impressed by what I saw in Churches. Too many crowd in Churches, few going to heaven.

I was told that Nigerian Church owners, called General Overseers, import just anybody from America and Europe to their pulpits during convention and crusades. They call them anointed men of God, just to attract crowd and make money. Nigerians are so gullible and unsuspecting. Too religious and believe whatever the pastors say. Just read the story on Matthew Ashimolowo somewhere here. This is not encouraging at all.

New York.

10 Kinds of Churches

10 Kinds of Churches:
This is an intellectual look at the church. I am thrilled that we have a person like this who can think and dispassionately deliver his verdicts in Church intellectual matters. But beyond the classification of Churches, how many of them are heaven-conscious? This is the next focus.
Bode Sonuga,
Ijebu Ode Nigeria.

Good write-up from good thinking and good observations. Africans should do more than religion. They should concentrate on salvation of both body and soul. Ride on Dr. Akin -John.

I am a pastor here in South Africa. How can we get across to Dr John? We need church growth experts like him in South Africa where I live and in Uganda where I come from. Please give me his link.

Through my Kenyan friend Jacob, I read the gospel newsletter syndicated on churchgrowthafrica at yahoogroups. Is the person doing it the same Nigerian Dr. Akin-John, the church growth expert? We are blessed by his ministry. How can he be invited to Korea? What does it takes to invite him?

All this are artificial divisions we have reduced the church to. As far as I am concerned, there is only one church, one body of Christ. Admission into heaven is not by which Church or denomination you belong to. We need to unify all these churches into one. Churches must not be strong in one area to the detriment of the others.
Kilile Muganzi,
Uganda

Churches of the 21st Century are gradually getting bastardised. We need to be strong in all areas, not being thick in one gift and being light in the rest. A church must be a composite whole.
