Thank you pastor for your article, however, I have some questions: what should be the attitude or response of a Christian to a problem that seems to be intractable?
I have been in a business for some years now and it has not been rosy. I left a good paid employment because I want to be an entrepreneur. I realised that if I don't start early enough, at age 36, when will I start? Should I wait till 50 when the bones are weak and I cant run about again?
I did not leave my job like that. I opted out of paid employment because I have a big passion for what I am doing today. I am properly educated, at least I have a master degree. I also read anything readable. I am a Christian and I pray well. But things are not moving well at all. If I don't finish the cash I have at hand, another will not come in. Clients disappoint me at will. Some pastors said that is the spirit of 'almost there', 'near success' etc.
Some friends told me to go to one prayer mountain (Ori Oke) and I have gone to pray. Nothing has happened. Some people, like my mother advised me to see some prophets in C&S and Celestial churches. They told me millions of Christians who claim to be pentecostals like me go there. I must confess that I have not gone there. And I don't feel like going because I so much doubt the truth and Christianity of this white garment African churches. But my suffering continues.
Pastor, but some silent voices keep telling me to bear the pain that I will break even someday. SOMEDAY? I am 42 now. When will my well of prosperity open? What am I doing wrong?

Your wife did not write in this edition. What is wrong? We are blessed by her contributions.

I was searching for your wife's article, that was what led me here. Why did she not write?
Having read your article, I am forced to ask you this question because at 45, I keep asking myself when will my prosperity come? What is the limit of digging and sweating? At what point will you know that a profession you are engaged in will not open doors for you? The reality of Nigeria today is so embarrassing that I want to get out. If I remain in this country, I doubt if I can ever make it.
Pastor, at 45, I have been unable to buy a car and its not that I am lazy. So many of my mates who live big today did some magomago (stole) in one way or the other from their companies. But I don't see myself doing that. I want to live a clean life but this clean life is not bringing me any dividend.
I keep wondering if this principle of living right is worth it. At 45, not having a car, not having a land to build my house, is unacceptable to me. My wife is now looking at me as a fool. Even in my church, once you don't look big, and give our pastor thousands of naira, you cant be made a deacon. They wont mention your name in prayers. And the pastor prayer group wont come to your house and pray. This is the reality in Nigeria today. Its like if you cant beat them...

I was waiting patiently to read your wife's article. I was composing a response to her last article when the month was over and a new edition comes up. I thought I would read here again but she did not write in this edition. Her last article touched me a great deal. Anyway, bless her soul.

Hello Ngozi,
You can still send your response and it will get published. Mrs. Adeyemi will write shortly. Thank you.
Editor.
Please let us know the regular columnist you have on this magazine. And please state out their names on your editorial page. And if I can make suggestions, Mrs. Adeyemi should be a counselor on this magazine. I miss her in this edition.

Not until you are a Christian before you can be prosperous. Pastors must know this. Christianity only removes sorrows from your prosperity. And that should be the message. Thanks Pastor.

Can we get to read Mrs Adeyemi's article? Thanks for your motherly advices and gentle language. Your response to Tolu last month ministered to me so much. I had to buy that CD "you don't have to worry...." Hope to read more of you.

I thank God for this kind of message at this time. Everybody wants to prosper but some people don't know the secret of prosperity. I quite agree with the man of God on the fact that no one can prosper without the hands of God, and any prosperity at all outside God will soon fly away because when devil gives one, he takes back two.
There is a saying "Little is much when God is in it". It does not cost God half a minute to change your testimony from nobody to somebody. Just be at peace with Him and you will see that your well of prosperity will be opened. Do you believe that you can sit on gold without knowing, but it takes the power of God to open your eyes to see.
Go ahead and make peace with God now and wait PATIENTLY on Him and you will not be put to shame. Did I hear your Amen? The fact that you have not seen result does not mean He has forgotten you. Don't give up.
NB My dear friends/Readers,
I appreciate you all. Thanks for your concern. Actually, our PC developed little fault when we were moving home, hence it has to see it's doctor. But it is in order now. Be expecting from me. You are blessed.

Allan Adeola,
Do you know that you people are too wonderful, having read all your responses and have realised that at least somebody somewhere is benefiting from the source of Knowledge God has endowed on us. It is worth praising God for.
I have taken some time before now to acknowledge the receipt of your response and have told my wife to write. But we continue to encounter difficulties of not getting to you. Although we do combine a lot of individual work, work of the Ministry and that of Child care, and therefore you understand what it means to dedicate some time to write. It is painful aftermath realising your write up has encountered difficulties hence the need to persist until you have your write up published.
However I wish to appreciate the Elifeonline.net group for a job well done. It is not their fault but in majority of cases technical fault.
Back to your Questions:
You will like to know when it will be possible for the well of your Prosperity to Open, some of you would like to know the extent of your digging, and some of you had been frustrated in life as working like an elephant and having nothing to show for it? Not even a car or a building you can call your own. Its quite frustrating.
All your Questions to me appear exactly like a Dream unaccomplished and why was it not accomplished, because of your selfishness and greedy attitude. Sorry if this language appears very harsh.
May I suggest you continue to read my response to the end, and not stop from here or say what is Rev. Adeyemi trying to address and then your poverty will be turned to plenty and your wants to Prosperity.
You have been selfish in tithe and Offerings. You have been selfish like Joseph, Dreaming dreams of greatness now and then, without looking for who you will interpret their Dreams.
Yes, your sheath is in the middle and others are prepared to make obeisance to your sheath and what comes after that, you also continue to dream another dream.
However until Joseph was able to interpret the dreams of Cupbearer and the Baker having learnt great lessons through experience of pit and prison, he was not transported into the palace of His Destiny . A times you may need to interpret the Dreams and vision of Ministers of God, Prophets that God has placed over you, through paying of your tithe and offerings, your stewardship and your time as good and obedient disciple to them. It works.
A times it may be people around you that may require your help. Those in abject state of poverty, the less privileged in your immediate community etc.
Your Tithe: When you pay your tithe, you are indirectly telling God, you are a partner in progress with Him. May your Kingdom come, and May your will be established here on Earth as in Heaven, and may the Kingdom of the devil decrease and be depopulated. Then food will be in my house, said the Lord.
The meaning is Souls shall be won through your generous contributions, a Minister of God and their family will be fed especially those on full time, and they will be able to pray with all their seals for you to break the seed of poverty in you and have it replaced with the seed of greatness.
Try Me: God Himself knew it will be hard for some group of people to pay their tithe, so He said try me, and you know what follows - if I would not open the window of Heaven and pour out a blessing that your room will not be able to contain. That is about the window, there are Doors of blessing, Meditate on Isaiah 45: 1-end.
This however depends on your loyalty and obedience to God through the principle of tithing and offering. Whatsoever a man sow He shall reap. The law of sowing and harvest still operates today. The world refers to it as the Law of Karma. Have you therefore eaten all your seed and today you have got nothing to sow. If you have sow nothing, then no harvest.
Any amount of money you contribute in kingdom business is sown and it is expedient for you to reap. The hand of the giver is always at the top. The soul of the liberal giver shall be satisfied. These are the principles of God about giving and we need to continually give.
Some people don't believe in the principle of Giving and tithing. Are you one of them? And you are expecting Abraham blessings to be yours, when Abraham himself demonstrated his attitude of giving by giving God His best- Son (Isaac) Abel also gave his best to deserve Favour from God over Cain that was selfish.
Finally Money, Pound sterling, Naira, Dutch, Dollars shall become a slave to you as you honour the clarion call to obey God by tithing and offering.
You are the 6th day creation of God and these things were created for you to dominate. Money is however one of them. If you therefore obey you will eat the fruit of the land, Isaiah 1: 18-19 and what you are supposed to control and dominate will stop dominating you. Curse of Poverty will be a thing of the past.

Thank you elifeonline.net, Mrs. Adeyemi has written. Deborah of our time. I ask God to help me be.
Thanks Pastor Adeyemi. This response ministered to me greatly. I give offering but tithe, maybe once in a while. I will try obeying this exhortations and let us see if it works. I will hold you by your words.
Ngozi,
South Africa.
Pastor, I used to pay tithe but I stopped paying in my church for two reasons:
1. In my church, there was this story of some Ushers stealing our tithes, using it for themselves. I am not lying on this. The story was all over the Church such that the pastor had to remove one of them.
2. The experience even persisted when a popular motivational pastor known all over London Pastor........(names withheld) came to our Church and help raised over 2million naira through his sermon 24hour Miracle.
In less than a week, this money disappeared amongst the Pastor's PA, one Usher and a lady who said she was borrowing it to travel abroad. The news spread round the church.
Some of us now wonder what kind of church is this? I then made up my mind not to pay tithe again until I change church. But up till now, I have not changed church. Am I wrong to have withheld my tithe?
Rejoice Fogofoluwa,

Thank you pastor for your response. I want to ask this question on tithing. Is it a must that it must be given in a single church? I attend a church that I'm not really satisfied with. In deed, you cannot be satisfied with any church because the gifts of pastors are different. In my church, we are heavy on prayers and praise. My past9r cant preach properly and like many pentecostal pastors, they wont readily concede their pulpit to other pastors. Every Sunday, when going home, I feel emptiness in me.
So when I get home, I depend on the TV, switching from one channel to the other, to hear great sermons from Tunde Bakare, George Adegboye (Rhema Chapel Ilorin) Enoch Adeboye, Poju Oyemade, Yomi Kasali and Tunde Jodah. Only after listening to these pastors that my Sunday is made. I have been really blessed by these people.
Now, where should I pay my tithe? I like to spread it, after all, they are all houses of God and I get blessed there.
Olatunde Olapade,

"If you dig without considering God, your enemies will laugh at you.
When you are digging and sweating, because of exhaustion the enemy will not come. But when you are about to get to the beds of water and close to breakthroughs, then the enemy will surface to take away and destroy your increase or prosperity, most especially when you are not paying your tithe and offering in your local assemblies or when all you do is to struggle alone without the help and peace of God. Remember God had said without me you can do nothing. I am the Lord that giveth you Power to get wealth."
This passage in your submission
ministered to me a great deal. Thank you for this Rhema.
