"Before you finish that, it puzzles me when I see some people who are supposed to be in jail suddenly becoming democrats. These are people who are criminals and I say it with a lot of holy anger, they should be in jail. They should not have a voice."
Thank you Pastor Oritsejafor.

Pastor Yomi Adeyemi is beating around the bush. Is he afraid of Obasanjo or what?
Pastor Mike,
Lagos.
Pastor Bisi Abraham's response:
How on earth would any pastor say Babangida will return? God does not create people to suffer. He cannot leave us to suffer. May be the pastor was not in country when Babangida ruled, you would have gone back to sleep and have another dream. Im not sure God spoke to you about Babangida or you must have missed out something. Babangida? No way sir.
Etiwe Joe,
Lagos Nigeria.
What do you expect the like of Sunday Mbang to say? They are government pastors.
Mike,
Abuja Nigeria.
Not the counsel of pastors, not the counsel of Christians, but the counsel of God will prevail on Nigeria. Those who are against Obasanjo should provide an alternative now, not Atiku, not Babangida please.
Honourable member of the house,
Abuja Nigeria.
Obasanjo has not said he will stay. The whoile noise about third term is being caused by the likes of former minister for works, Tony Anenih to cover the N300 billion scam.
Isaac,
Benin Nigeria.
I feel we should all give Obasanjo a chance. Like someone said, if we have Babangida and Atiku as his running mates, we should give him a chance then.
Wumi Isaac,
USA.
Thank God that the legislatures said no to third term yesterday. Its a victory for the sane people.

I agree with Pastor Imasuen Daniel from South Africa. My greatest fear is if the power goes to the North again, Nigerian will go back into debt. Northern political leaders dont know the difference between government money and private money. They spend all, and even borrow more. Im sure that is why Obasanjo is afraid to go. We will all go back to the evil days.
Richard Ebofin
Ijebu Ode,
Nigeria.
How can we say Babangida will come back? Who will vote for him? But as someone said there, we have short memories here. Pastor Abraham from New Zealand said Babangida. Was he here when Babangida and Mamangida were ruling us? Does he know the havoc they both wreak on Nigerians? The Lord whom we serve can't make mistakes in giving us criminals again.
Gabriel Eskor
Asaba Nigeria.
How long shall men of God bother themselves about what will not happen? Babangida will not rule again. Obasanjo will not come back. Atiku is day dreaming. Wait and see.
Abu Olanrewaju,

Rev Yomi Adeyemi is speaking with a forked tongue. I don't understand what he is speaking about. Be bold pastor. Speak straight.

Let more women speak. You spoke to only two women and about ten men!
This is unacceptable to us.

* Sorry Matilda. This was done inadvertently. We shall get more women views, starting from you. Editor.
I believe that God has used Obasanjo during these years of his leadership. However, if Obasanjo wants to be respected in Nigeria, he should just give way to another person. God can use whoever He chooses to use for Nigeria. Nobody has the monopoly of wisdom and nobody should be seen as God.
The mere fact that somebody will like to change the constitution so that it will allow him to remain in power does not show the attitute of one controlled by the Spirit of God. I hope that his silence over this issue means that "Let them display their ignorance, I will respect the constitution and the constitution should not be changed because of me."
This should be the mind of a mature person.
If he claims to be a born again christian who even pray and fast for Nigeria, he should not be partial in praying for himself to continue as the president. He should respect his words and the constitution of the country he his is praying for. God can take somebody, who is nobody by the judgement of the world, and make him a somebody in the leadership of Nigeria.
ISHAYA GAJERE
I thank God for people like Pastor Bakare who are bold enough to say their mind. A word, they say, is enough for the wise. In all things, I see the hand of God in Nigeria. This is my consolation any day, any time. God who started with Nigeria will not forsake her. Amen!!!

I think the best we can do now is to pray that God's will be done. It is possible for us to see President Obasanjo as the 'once again messiah', when God might have given him a red card, indicating that his time is up. I am sure that God will not allow him if his time is up. If it is not up, we can not stop him. But if it is up he dare not try to force himself on us all.
Simest2002
I think the reaction of some people to the article I wrote on Obasanjo's third term has been too personal, at least not all I wrote was considered for advert. You should however try not to offend in words.
Jesus in majority of cases speaks in parable. If you tend not to understand the parable, you may need to ask with respect and try to respect each individual's office.
Every one has got a freedom for whatever opinion you have or may wish to say but I think this medium is not for the purpose of being offensive, most especially when we are Children of God. To refer to me speaking with a forked mouth appears rude and not accepted. You may wish to re-address this statement please.
However the glory that has departed has given birth to bad leaders ever since independent and what summarily I was saying is that we have had bad leaders before but the barton is about to change. Atleast after much darkness there must be light. I hope I have been able to answer any impending question you may have . Many thanks
Rev Yomi Adeyemi,
CFM U.K.
It's surprising to note that Nigerians are so eager to know the mind of God concerning the in-coming President. That's fine, but your opinion or wish can never change God's plan.
Whoever comes in does not matter provided he is a human being. What matters most is YOU . Do you know how long you will stay on Earth? Then what are you doing concerning your life after death? The word of God says in ( Matt.6:33)"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you"
If every Nigerian is striving to seek God's Kingdom first, peace will surely reign in Nigeria. Whatever a man sows, he shall reap. Nigerians had one time replaced their worship unto God with exalting idol (festac) Prov. 14:34 says "Righteousness exalteth a nation but sin is a reproach to any people. We need to go back to God in truth and sincererity knowing fully that God loves Nigeria but hates the sin in her hands.
Dear commentators, I can see that you love to comment on the Men and Women of God's write-up. You critisized each of them and even insult some of them when you cannot deny yourself to seek God's face concerning the issue on ground. Remember, the Bible says "the fear of God if the begining of wisdom (Prov.1:7).
The men of God you are critisizing are called by God not you, hence it is unwise of you to be rude to any of them. Do you want to force them to say what God has not told them? It's time for you to repent and receive God's mercy. Every Nigeria citizen should join the great men and women of God to pray for GOD's WILL at this time. Listen, God is not a politician, so you cannot invite Him to come and vote, but in His mercy, He can give us a good Leader. Remain blessed.
Pastor (Mrs.) Adenike Adeyemi

Friends,
Four days ago, the Nigerian National Assembly rejected the attempt at modifying the Constitution to give President Obasanjo another term. A feeling of Euphoria swept certain sections, a feeling of dejection swept certain other sections; all sections however believe that they fight for the Right. We as God's Warriors need to get HIS perspective. A certain restlessness of the Spirit forces me to write this message. It is not time now for God's people to rest on their oars. It is time rather to CRY OUT TO THE LORD and seek His face about how the future of our great nation shall be defined. The passage that keeps ringing in my heart is Isaiah 40 where the prophet spoke concerning the nation of Israel. I want to ask that you to please read through carefully even though it is a long passage:
THE CALL TO CRY
I believe that as it was in Verse 6 of this passage, The Voice is asking Nigerians to CRY... NOW to HIM. It is also wise that we ask the same question that the Prophet asked... WHAT SHALL WE CRY... ? And I believe that the Response of our Lord will be the same as that to the Prophet ... and here is my paraphrase:
i. We must not concentrate on the Glory of the Flowers on the Field... Many are whom men think is, but God have said mene mene tekel upraisin. Nigeria must not lift up its hope unto the flowers of the Field. No! The Flowers have been appointed to wither and drop at the breadth of the Lord.
ii. At the breadth of the Lord also Glad tidings will be brought from among them that dwell high on the Mountains. There is a physical and a spiritual signification. There shall be a searching out of the Mountain of the Lord, an honoring of its content; a bringing forth of its secret mysteries, a perpetuation of its strength...
ii. So Zion must lift up her God. The Cities and the Towns of Nigeria must lift up the Name of Jehovah. It is time to worship Him, it is time to seek Him fervently on behalf of the people that HE seeks to Comfort. It is time to CRY by the Spirit of the Gracious one. Maybe He will look down from on High and pour grace and glory upon our Land.
iv. We must thank God for Obasanjo and not vilify the man that God Chose. We must ask God to give Him the wisdom to end well what God has started through him. We must allow the Spirit of David to fill the land. We must refuse to lift up our hands against the anointed of Jehovah.
v. Above all IT IS TIME TO SEEK THE LORD. In worship, in prayers, in adoration, in supplications... for the nation of Nigeria. Major battles are raging in the heavenly places, Oh that God will find us faithful and worthy! Oh that His might will cause our hearts to be strengthened by His Grace to Stand for our Nation. The Lord that delivered the Nation out of the hand of Abacha, will chart a Holy Course through His Servant Olusegun, God will have Victory, The King will cause the Days of our Suffering to be repaid Double with the Comfort of His Spirit (Oba A San ojo fun Wa). But let us CRY...!
Blessings!
Sayo Ajiboye,
St Louis MO USA.
Recent happenings have shown the futility of man thinking about tomorrow. Baba Adeboye is right after all. No one should arrogate anything about tomorrow to himself. Tomorrow is in the hands of God.
Sanya Olusegun,
Ikorodu.
It is interesting to see how Nigerians bother so much about what happens to them and their country. If we all bother about Christ this way, this world would be a better place today. However, press reports here in Kenya have shown that your president can't vie again. Good for democracy.
Magui Elizabeth,

Third term is dead and buried!
Richard Elesho,
Accra.
Its good bye to third term! I have more to say about what is happening at home, but not now. My prayer is Nigerians should not allow Babangida and Atiku to come back.
Mrs Elesho.
Accra Ghana.
Yes, my view on third term: No one should criticise Obasanjo. He has done his best. Pastor Tunde Bakare should be more objective in his assessment of Obasanjo. I would rather vote Obasanjo instead of Atiku or Babangida. What are they looking for again? The men of God who eat from governments should not bother to speak on this matter again. Now that the two houses have killed third term, let us ask God to save us from Atiku and Babangida coming back.
Matilda,
Warri Delta State Nigeria.
It is painful to me that the third term was defeated. I guess we have to be frank with ourselves on this matter. Do we have a better alternative to Obasanjo? If this power goes back to the North, where the people know no difference between public money and private money, all the gains Obasanjo made in recent time will be reversed and we shall go aborrowing again. Lets wait and see.
Paul Madubuike,
Enugu Nigeria.
Fact is Obasanjo or no Obasanjo, Nigeria will not collapse. Why do we think a tree makes a forest? Why do we think without Obsanjo we can't survive? Is he God? We should put him where he belongs -history.
Abigail Peters,
Ankara Turkey.
You did not publish the reactions of the great woman of God, Pstor Deola Ojo. Love to read what she has to say on third term. I am waiting to hear her at Christ Chapel of Redeemed Christian Church of God shortly. Bless her soul oh Lord.
Itunnu Hakeem,
Obasanjo lied that he was not ready for the third term. Who is fooling who? He should have spoken up when the noise was on. He owes us an apology or we will never take him serious again.
Adande John,
Benin Nigeria.
Third term is rude. Same with the people who wanted it.
Akinlade Omotosho,

This is to Pastor Bisi Abraham:
Pastor, I am not doubting the vision the Lord gave you about our country Nigeria. But I want to ask if you were in Nigeria when babaginda was the head of state? I will like to read your assessment of his regime. If the Lord has told us that whatever we ask, he will do it, I want you sir to join us all in prayers that may Babangida not return again. From his utterances so far, the man has learnt nothing and he is coming to do nothing. Allthe pain he has is that he should be doing what Abdulsalam Abubarkar is doing. he is pained that he is not recognised in the world, inspite of spending eight years in power.
Pastor, please tell God that we dont want Babangidan again. I know if you speak to Him, He will hear.
Motunrayo Idera,
University of Lagos Nigeria.
This is to Pastor Mrs Nike Adeyemi:
I greet you madam, the Lord bless you and your husband. I have read your reactions about Nigerians being so eager to know the mind of God on who will rule next. I have also read your article on women and your reactions to Shiloh and Mrs. BAA. I am impressed about you ma.
I want to react to what you said on Nigerians eagerness to know the mind of God. Why would they not? Madam, it is easy to wonder why because you are not living in Nigeria. If you were here, you will see what we call suffering. This is a nation where nothing works. NEPA, hospitals, water, public transport, security, etc. What can we boast of in this country, yet we hear the politicians sharing millions everyday.
The problem we have is that for a long time, most Nigeria
don't have political awareness and they don't care about who rules. We have left everything to God for too long while this same God, dont forget, has given us the power of choice. In exercising this power of choice, we need these debates. It is great that we have an international stable like this which allows Nigerians home and abroad to debate the issue.
I will invite you to come and stay in Nigeria for one month. When NEPA shows you and mosquitoes bite you for only two days, you will run back to London. We need to ask God to save us. Your husband said better days are coming. Amen. I say Amen. It has to come. In this 21st century, we are still living like stone age men!
I ask your husband and the people in his church not to relent in asking God to bring the political deliverer. I don't know if it is God who is doing it in London, America, Germany. But I know churches don't thrive there the way they do here. We pray here. We praise here, but we decay here also. So we need to know what the Lord will do.
We will like to know when you people will come back home, to join us in clamouring for a change.
Staying and living in London will not give you a true picture of what obtains at home. Thank you madam. God bless you ma.
Motunrayo Idera,
University of Lagos Nigeria.
Im sorry if Pastor Adeyemi thinks Im rude by saying he speaks with a forked tongue. I could see that his wife too has reacted to me. The issue is that I want the pastor to speak directly on this third term. Now that third term is dead and buried according to Christian rights, we can put the past behind us.
On the future, pastors should pray that the right people should come to power. Amen.
Adeola, Lagos.
I am so thrilled about this magazine's treatment of the third term issue. With this magazine, I agree that Nigeria is growing. I visit this site everyday, same with many staff of this oil company. Please let me know how to assist you. This project is worth assisting because it makes my day. It has led me to other good websites. This good dream from Nigeria must not die. Amen. Please mail me your account number or get in touch with me. My phone number is ........ (withheld).
