Question:
Is it really good for us to say that Jesus Christ is God because it was only doubting Thomas that referred to Jesus Christ as," My God"
|
Answer:
Now, Jesus Christ is God and that is very, very clear, at least that is what the bible says. It says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God, that's clear in the bible.
I am aware that some people created another Bible in which they changed that signature and said "In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was a God and use small "g" well that is the only version of the Bible that has that kind of a thing among the minimum of fifty - five versions of the Bible that exist, you know that was the only one that did that.
They said he was a god and change it to small "g" you see, in every other ones that we have found including the script in which these ones were translated from, it was written as; In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God and the word became flesh and I ask who became flesh! It is Jesus Christ that became flesh and so, he was the word who was with God from the beginning and who also is God, not only so, in the book of Isaiah where he was prophesying about the birth of Jesus Christ and he was listing the titles of the Lord Jesus Christ, Isaiah referred to the Lord Jesus Christ as the Prince of Peace, Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, he even referred to him as the "Everlasting Father" who else can you call the Everlasting Father? God! Isaiah called Jesus Christ like that in the Bible and so this bible I'm taking about, they also changed it where it says Almighty God, they referred to Him as mighty god they put small "g".
The only Bible on the face of the globe that has that kind of a thing inside it, and so, we cannot base what we are going to believe on that bible chosen by a group of people who love to believe that and changed the capital "G" in every other version and made it small in their own case.
Now he was referring to the case of Thomas when he said. Thomas you did not believe when you were told, now come look at my hands and to my sides and Thomas said, "My Lord and my God", and Jesus says, "So you now believe". That's what he said; he never rebuked Thomas for saying so. Not only that, in John chapter 5, chapter 8, what was His problem with the Pharisees, it says thou calleth yourself the son of God thereby making yourself equal to God, that was His problem with them, another reason I will give you, there is a place that says, "You are not yet fifty and you have seen our father Abraham?" And he said, before your father Abraham was, I AM. Who uses that title, Almighty God Himself, having neither beginning nor end (of life) He says I AM, you know He is always is. Praise the Lord!
I submit that Jesus is God.
