Who says God is not interested in the numerical growth of your church? Where are those pastors who say I dont care how many people come to my chuirch? Numerical growth often determines how successful you are and how impactful your messages are. How do you achieve this? God is concerned with numbers. 120;300,500 souls were mentioned in Acts. He is not willing that any should perish (1 Tim. 2:4; II Pet. 3:9).

The following 30 ways can be adopted, adapted or recreated to your own particular situation. They have helped other churches, they can be of great help to you in your effort to increase the attendance of your church.  

1. Friendship Evangelism – Every member must be encouraged to deliberately befriend sinners with the sole aim of bringing them to the savior. The principles of bringing their friends, relations, associates and neighbors to the church must be continuously stressed. This is what Jesus used.  

2. Seeker Service – There must be special service to minister to those who are seeking the Savior, it can be either Saturday morning or evening. We do a programe we call Beauty 4 Ashes.  

3. Every Member a minister – Church attendance will increase when it is church policy that no member is allowed to remain redundant.  

4. wonderful service and worship – Each worship experience have the capacity to increase the attendance of the church. People report to each other and many more will come.

5. Conducive atmosphere – It contributes greatly to more attendance. The building is comfortable and spacious. The atmosphere is relaxed, cool, warm and very appropriate for worship.  

6. Time Management – Is a strong factor. Closing to time and being prompt and timely do draw more people to attend a church.   7. Initiate various ministries – There are varied types of people in the community. There must be various ministry outreaches to them. The young, old, women, men, children can all be targeted.  

8. Spiritual gifts of members – Every member using their spiritual gifts in a godly and edifying way will increase the numerical growth of the church.  

Pulling down the strongholds of the devil in a community will set the people free to come in large numbers to the church. Taking warfare prayer into every nook, corner and cranny of the community on a consistent basis will result in church growth.

9. Prayer Evangelism – Every member bringing the names of those they would like to get saved. Those names are prayed upon fervently until they get converted.

10. Assimilate those coming – Increasing the church demands that those who are coming must be assimilated. There must be careful plan to integrate them and bond them to the church.  

11. Welcome first, second and third timers – Don't only welcome those who are coming for the first time. Welcome also those who are coming for the second and third time. By that, they will stay in the church.  

12. Need-Meeting Church – To increase attendance means that the church is meeting the felt and real needs of the people. The church that is really meeting the needs of people is like a cube of sugar, the ants will find it out.  

13. Supernatural workings of God – The great and mighty workings of God in a church cannot be hidden for long. People will hear and come in large numbers.  

14. Spiritual Warfare – Pulling down the strongholds of the devil in a community will set the people free to come in large numbers to the church. Taking warfare prayer into every nook, corner and cranny of the community on a consistent basis will result in church growth.  

15. Have Class two workers – These are people that are personal evangelists in your church. They must be organized and trained to concentrate on bringing people from the community to the church.  

16. Home Cell – The home cells must be geared towards evangelism and nurture. It must not be maintenance oriented. They must become an evangelistic thrust to the whole community.  

To increase church attendance, there must be balanced preaching and teaching of the word of God. Sin must be dealth with squarely. Biblical truths must never be compromised.

17. Powerful Preaching – The preaching must be practical, powerful, penetrating, lively and dynamic. It must bring God to the people and bring the people to God.  

18. Prophetic Prayers – There must be powerful and prophetic prayers. Result-oriented payers in a church will always draw crowds of people. Prophetic ministrations have the capacity to increase church attendance.  

19. Specialized Programmes – It can be early morning prayers, business men, seminars, youth meetings, pregnant women prayers, Holy Ghost services, deliverance meetings or all night prayers. They will increase the attendance of the church.  

20. Train your protocol officers – They should no longer be called ushers. Rather they should be called protocol officers. They must be well trained to welcome people in a warm and lively way. They are the first P.R.O. of the church.  

21. Be Excellence Oriented – To increase church attendance demands that the church must imbibe excellence in music, building, decoration, sound system and presentations. People want to identify with success stories.  

22. Be Bible Based – To increase church attendance, there must be balanced preaching and teaching of the word of God. Sin must be dealth with squarely. Biblical truths must never be compromised. But it must be in a balanced way.

23. Goal of each member – Every member must be given the goal of winning at least one person in a year. The prayers, exhortations and trainings in the church must stress this goal until it is achieved.  

24. Have a good car pack – The parking space is very important. There must be adequate parking lot with good security. People will stop coming to church with heir cars when there is no parking space or adequate security and it may affect others who wish to come but no provision for their vehicles.  

25. Start another service – Adding another service, possibly for people of other language will definitely increase the church attendance.  

26. A good children church – Not just a class for children, but a true children church have the capacity to increase attendance in the church. Parents are looking for churches that cares so much for their children.  

27. Extend your building – Your building can help or hinder the further growth of your church. When the building is getting filled up, there must be plan to extend or relocate to accommodate further growth.  

28. Plant New Churches – Take the church closer to the people. The more churches that are being planted the more the attendance.   29. Spiritual Parenthood – Christians must grow to become spiritual parents to those they bringing to the church. They are responsible for the follow up and stability of those new people. They must also accept them into the fold of Christ.  

30. Super Pastor – The pastor by far is the most important reason for increasing the attendance in the church. If the people are not proud of Him, his person leadership and ministry vision, they will not bring their friends, relations, neighbors and associates to the church. Increase in church attendance demands that God must be mighty and work mightily through the life and messages of the pastor.     No church can prayerfully follow half of these proven ways without recording significant increase in attendance.
