Is the Virgin Mary equal to Jesus Christ? Can she forgive sins as a Christian denomination portrays her as having?

There are some people who love to believe that Mary is still a virgin even till now, but in my own opinion, common sense teaches that when a baby has passed through the canal, that person ceases to be a virgin. And so I don't really think she is a virgin till now.

But about being equal to Jesus Christ, the bible says no such thing. Mary the mother of Jesus has come and has lived a beautiful life, excellent life, worthy of emulation and she is gone. She cannot forgive any sins, other than Peter can forgive sins or Paul can forgive sins.

She cannot do anything like that. Only God, only Christ can forgive people's sins or the church as a whole can forgive somebody who has offended the church but there is nobody who is dead and gone that can forgive anybody's sins.

What do you do in a situation where you are dissatisfied with what is happening in the church you attend such that your heart is not really there again, and you find yourself grumbling. For example, the belief of my pastor is that academics is not really Godly or at the best, a vanity and vexation of the Spirit. What do I do?

Please at any point in time, when you come to a place when you are no longer in agreement with what is being done in that church, you leave the church. And the person who is saying this is Olanrewaju Adenekan and I am saying it with all emphasis.

When you get to a point where you are no longer in agreement with what they are doing in the church, leave the church. I preach it, I teach it in the foundation classes in our church. At any point in time you no longer have confidence in our leadership or you disagree fundamentally with the things we believe, please leave the church, change church. That is the right thing to do. There is no point staying there, your disagreement will be working against the group because you are supposed to work together in agreement and as one. In the Acts of the Apostle, they did everything with one accord and we are operating as one. Where you are not in agreement with them, you are not operating as one.

For example, you have told us that one of their beliefs is that academics not really Godly or at the best, at a point in time, when you are reading it is a vanity and vexation of the Spirit. Now I have heard that kind of talk

before. Anybody saying that in 2003, I don't think he is saying the right thing. It is for you to just leave, change church and make sure you look for a place where you can blend with them, you are in agreement with them. They also will change sometime later. We are all learning, you know.
