October 1, 2005 Nigeria was 45 years old as a nation. While celebration was going on in Abuja and other state capitals of Nigeria , Pastor Tunde Bakare the foremost fearless and revolutionary critique of the Nigerian system was in a corner in Ikeja speaking his minds to thousands of his admirers. He spoke on his new agenda of War against Corruption and bad Government in Nigeria .

For the two hours he spoke, he touched different parts of the system; politics,
politicians, government functionaries, traditional rulers, youths and his suggestion for moving the nation forward. Here are excerpts as captured by our contributor, Julius Adegunna, publisher of PTLNews.

Nigeria @ 45
This is a bastardized Nigeria . It is not the original dream of the founding fathers (noting Chief Anthony Enahoro's comment saying He was a sad man over the state of the nation). A gang of Occultict corrupt men has shortchanged the nation of Nigeria . But God will restore Nigeria . God will do it for His covenant to remain in Nigeria . Let the corrupt be cut down in Nigeria and there will be a new Nigeria . Where God cannot rule, He will over rule.

My Mission
I am accepting responsibility for a change. It is a practical opposition to corruption. It is a fresh mandate from today. The voice of the church will be heard loud. Let the church arise so that Nigeria can fulfill its destiny. We are not just preachers but concerned leaders of the nation. It must be said that it is only the incorruptible seed that can end corruption.

Dares Obasanjo, Atiku and Babangida
They are the Grand Corrupt Officials of Nigeria (GCON). They are not only corrupt but they corrupt the officials in Nigeria . Let Obasanjo and Atiku declare their assets. Let them be asked; what happened to privatization fund. What is done in the secret will be made open. Nigeria is no more resilient but now an army of renewed Nigerians who will ask for the account of their stewardship.

To Ibrahim Babangida, he said, "You had done no one any good in this country." He sowed the seed of corruption in this country and he will never rule Nigeria again. He will never be there.

Next Move to Abuja
Another crusade comes up in November in Abuja . The battle will be taken to the gates of the enemies. It is not a crusade to win souls but a life-saving crusade to save the souls of Nigeria . The decision you don't take will overtake you.

Panacea for moving forward our desperate need is national character. What songs do we sing for Bayelsa Governor (Alamiyeseigha) when he comes back to Nigeria ? When your name is not good enough it cannot stand by itself. Simplicity brings integrity. PDP the ruling party is a very selfish and wicked party. We must all accept responsibility for change. It is an action not an option. General repentance must take place in the church because we are the ones fueling it. We must not defile ourselves. Money is not everything. We are on a journey of combative spirituality and political activism. We must be moral people to fight a moral cause.

Agenda for a new Nigeria
* Let every one live within his or her means and not above it.
* Let every youth participating in the NYSC serve the first year in agriculture, and spend the second year in training them how to use weapons. We will all have mutual respect for lives. ‘If you shoot me I shoot you', and there will be no impostor to snatch political power.
* Let us encourage cottage industries. This is a nation of creative ingenuity. We are coming back to build the broken wall.
* Our life does not lie in the hand of politicians but in the hand of God. Let everyone be contented.
* Are Nigerians rejoicing or groaning on the 45th of independence? Nigerians, reject the evil rule of the wicked over us, over our land and over own nation. When our character is refined, our reputation shall be in place. God will raise leaders like Moses, Joshua and Daniel for our own generation.
