I did that for a purpose, just to show that when people come to church, like Muslims leave their shoes outside mosque we Christians leave our brain outside, we don't think, most problems of misconception, poverty, and stagnation is traceable to inability to think. Thinking is scriptural, even God Himself thinks.

“O Lord, how great are your works and thy thought are very deep. Psalm 92:5. The depth of your thought can determine the seize of your life, what you become in life is directly proportional to what you think. Greatness is attainable via great thinking. If you stop thinking, your life will start stinging.

WHAT IS THINKING
Contemporarily thinking is to have a particular idea or opinion about something. It is to exercise the mind, to revolve ideas in the mind, to let ones mind dwell on a thing:

- TO JUDGE - TO CONSIDER - TO ASPIRE - TO BE OF AN OPINION - TO DISCERN - TO -IMAGINE - TO RECKON - TO COUNT UP - TO WAIT - TO PONDER - TO CALCULATE
- TO EVALUATE - TO REFLECT - TO REASON - TO BREAKDOWN
That is exactly what it means to think, a man is nothing if he does not think; the plain truth is that what we think is what we become, “For as He thinketh in his heart, so is he …..” Proverb 23:7B.

It is of necessity for us to think, where we have kept our minds is where we are, our thoughts safe our behaviours, what we do is what we think, we are products of our thoughts.

you. Also, people don't think because they have not been thought how to think. Thinking requires our element of skill and if you don't have the skill, you will find it difficult. Christians avoid thinking due to negligence of responsibilities for our lives, we run away from responsibilities, forgetting that it is our duty to take charge and care of what happens within and around us. If you run away from responsibilities you can never be responsible in anything, the person you see in the mirror every time you look at the mirror is responsible for your life.

GOD EXPECT US TO THINK
This is reflected in Matthew 18:12 “HOW THINK YE? If a man have an hundred sheep's and one of them be gone astray doth he leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains and seeketh that which is gone astray? Jesus himself asked what do you think? You'll do? If you are talking to nowadays Christians, some would say we don't think, we only pray.

In another parable Jesus asked a similar question. Matthew 21:28, He asked “What do you think? A certain man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, son go work today in my vineyard, and that one said, I will not but afterward he repented and went and he said to the second and said likewise and he answered and said “I go, sir and went not, which of these two do you think has done the will of the father?

An average Christian will say I'll pray about it. When you want to cook, there are various ingredients that are necessary; you have water, pepper, tomatoes, salt, fish and seasoning. Do you say that since one of the ingredients is not there then we substitute one of the ingredients that is available with so much more?

May be no tomatoes, so you add more salt, we don't do it, do we? Yet we do so in the things of the spirit. To succeed in this life we need to be balanced, pray, study the Bible, meditate, praise God and give Him thanks. Now do we say that because we don't have time to study and think, so we put everything in prayer?

Prayer has its own role to play likewise thinking, all these things are important in the affair of life, prayer and bible study does not substitute thinking. In the story of the good Samaritan Jesus answering said, a certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho , and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side and likewise a Levite, when he saw him passed on the other side.

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, come where he was and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, went to him, and bund up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

WHICH OF THIS THREE DO YOU THINK?
is the neighbour of him who fell among thieves? After reasoning and comparing the three parties involved, he asked, which of the three do you think is required deliberation and consideration of the facts.

Some processing is required before you draw a conclusion based on the things you stated that the one who helped him was his neighbour, this does not necessarily require a special revelation, but thinking out of reasoning. God really expect us to think.

BY THINKING, If you see the ant you'll know that, there's no eternal force, saying you must do this or that, there is nobody coming from outside the ant pushing the ant to do a particular thing and having no master, gathers his food when the whether allows for it, then when winter comes, that circumstances are unable to make him get food, the food it has stored comes into use.

From observation you find out that there will be a season in life when you will not be able to work, the ant wisdom tells us to make provision for winter from summer. When God wanted to speak to Jeremiah, he said, I want to speak to you but I won't speak to you directly, I will speak to you in a different way. “The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, Arise and go down to the porter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words…” Jeremiah 18:1-2.

After Jeremiah have observed the way the porter went about doing things, God use that to give an illustration of a message he was trying to pass to Israel , that requires some thought process.

MIND–SET
There is a particular mind set you need to have in order to be able to think creatively, a given pattern for good and great thought. Your key to greatness is to control your mind and master your emotions, many have given their minds to habits of destruction. The highest battle is over your mind, possess your mind. You have not only power to think but you have the power to control your thoughts and to direct them to do your bidding ……you are the sum total of your dominating and most prominent thought. Master your mind, control it and make it to serve you.

FAULTY THINKING
A clear example of faulty thinking is in exodus 32, when God called Moses to the mountain to receive the Decalogue (Ten commandments). And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him: up, make gods, which shall go before us out of the land of Egypt , we do not what is become of him.” Exodus 32:1

What was faulty about this kind of thinking pattern? The bible says we should not worship idols, the above decision was the outcome of a particular faulty thought process, that was it. The people exclaimed; “we don't know what has become of Moses, the man who brought us out of Egypt . The fault was that the attributed to Moses what God did.

to God, and That is the begriming of Idolatry. Faulty thinking produces faulty decisions. As long as you think your pastor is your God, then one day you'll have no God because I don't know of any pastor who lives forever. Any time he dies then it means your God is dead, many Christians think that God can die, what a faulty thinking. We need to learn how to think and there must be a mind set, a pattern that will enable us to think creatively.

Another case study of faulty thinking is in 11kings 5:11 “ “But Naaman was wroth, and went away and said, behold, I thought He will surely come out to me, and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place and recover the leper”.

When Naaman sent a message to the man of God that he had leprosy, the prophet could not come but he sent a prophetic instruction requesting Naaman to go to a particular place, deep yourself there seven times and you'll be alright. Naaman got angry and went away, because He thought the man of God will do it as usual, if not for the interference and the involvement of his maid he could not have been healed. He had a faulty thinking pattern He thought that the only way God will do it was for the man of God to stand before him, lay hands on him and pray.

If you think God is limited to only one way of doing anything, its faulty thinking, maybe that very Job you've been praying for is not the way God has provided for you, it could be business he has provided for you, Don't box God, He is the king of kings, the Lord of Lords and the sole manufacturer of man. The earth is his footstool there are millions and more ways he can get to you.

Naaman felt there was only one way God could attend to him, The account of the series of war in I kings 20 between the Israelites and the Syrians also displayed faulty thinking on the part of the Syrians there was this particular war won by the Israelite and the people of Syria felt that the only reason they were defeated was because the battle took place on the hills; whereas their gods are gods of the hills.

While the NEW LIVING TRANSLATION say” don't copy the behaviors and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think, then you will know how good and pleasing and perfect what His will really is. Great achievements begin with great thoughts there is no substitute to thinking, people that refuse to think will be servants to those who think creatively. A deeper meditation is very crucial. Thinking is the key to understanding God's will.

God's ways and thoughts are not ours, there is need to think like God. Isaiah 55:8-9 “for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord, for as the heavens are lighter than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thought than your thoughts”

The reason why your ways are not God's ways is because your thoughts.
