Ten ways to find a Church

Nigerian pastors spread into Cameroon

Concerning the role of the church in our present Democracy, I believe the following;

1.The church must not be friend nor enemy of government.

2.Pastors must raise godly Christians who will participate in politics.

3.Pastors must disciple and train Christians who will use their businesses and positions to influence people for Gods Kingdom.

4. Pastors must be advisers to government, not for pecuniary gains but for godliness.

5.Churches and church leaders must be in the fore front of the fight against corruption.

6. Pastors must put their house in order by living transparent, honest, godly and simple lives, being a good example of what they preach.

6. The church must repent publicly of all past sins, corruption, extravagant living and portraying bad image for the watching public.

7. The church must change her wrong message of material things to social responsibility and godliness.

8. The church must start caring for the widows, street children, AIDS victims, homeless, jobless and affect our communities and neighbourhoods positively.

9.The church must sponsor bills that will better the life of the people and change obnoxious laws. Until the church began to emphasise all these, then we cannot change our nations for good. There is too much bad image for the church that we need to urgently change ourselves first, before we can try to change our nation. I believe these should be the focus of this conference, else it will be another talk shop and a jamboree, just like past conferences of PFN.

I believe this is an agenda worthy of note by all PFN Churches.
Michael Osinowo, Lagos.
It is good that once in a while, PFN pastors are told the truth. Some PFN Churches are giving Christianity a new name, this time, negative. Thank God for frantic efforts being put up by the present executives to bring about a revival in the churches and I pray the Lord will revive His church.
Eze Nnamdi , London.
I have listened to some of the sermons by some of the speakers at the Conference. Akin John should also have been invited to speak. As a teacher of Church growth, he should be listened to. I hope the organizers will take note.
Abraham Olakunri. Lagos
I repeat after Akin John: The church must repent publicly of all past sins, corruption, extravagant living and portraying bad image for the watching public. Tell this to all pastors who think wearing million dollar suits, speaking like Americans, etc is Christianity. We should take Christianity to America, not importing American slangs and mannerisms to our churches.
Asimiyu Matthews, Ibadan. Nigeria.
I attended the conference. Akin Johns should have been a speaker there. These agenda need to be said all over the churches and i pray they hear.
Paul Olisa. Lagos
I am concerned about the children and widows. Akin John is right. Many churches have forgotten the widows and the orphanages. All they do now is big big buildings, conventions, crusades etc with little or no impacts. What a shame.
Tinu, Lagos
Is Bola Akin John a pfn member? I agree that the church must sponsor bills in he house. This is a great idea i never thought of. I hope Pastor Adefarasin and Olaleye read this. They are genuinely concerned about revival and they must look at this direction.
Danladi Bako, Jos
What interests me most in all these agenda is that churches must sponsor bills. Ingenuous! But how can we do this when churches are not one in Christ?
M.M Olorishade, Offa Kwara State.
