Question :
My husband and I have been together for 2 years. He's 43 and I'm 25. Our sex life was never "amazing" but for the last year it has been almost non-existent. He just doesn't want to do it anymore and it is a constant battle in our home.

What makes things worse is before we were dating he was a slut! He's a good looking man and has slept with hundreds of women of whom I have seen some and they are not all that good looking.

I model for a magazine so I am not ugly, but I feel like I am missing something and not good enough for him. What should I do? I don't want to end the relationship, but sex is a big deal and he just doesn't think it is. I could really use some advice.....

As a minister, the first thing I would suggest is your line of work may be part of the problem. Men are visual and they love to see the female form within marriage. It is the best and the way God intended. I am thinking that he may have thought it would be great to have a Playboy model until he had one. I would feel a little overwhelmed if my wife was showing her body to millions of guys. I would feel how I can compete with the guys that are looking at her and dreaming about what they want to do to her. Men are becoming more and more sensitive and women are becoming a little more aggressive. I have noticed this even in my own wife and she is my age. I could not imagine having to try to keep up with a 25 year old model. You need to try to make the time together special and not all about sex. There are a lot of ways that you can be intimate with your spouse and sex is just one of them. You may want to try to connect with him on a deeper level than just the sex.

The Lord has put sex in marriage for a reason because it is the most intimate of all expressions of love between a man and a woman. Your husband may need a little ego stroking from you and to not make sex all that important and I am sure he will come around.

I hope that you both can find the truth about Christ and I pray that God can become the focus of your life. With a close relationship to Christ the rest of your problems will seem to go away. There needs to be a life changing event in both your lives and a 180 degree turn around in your life to be able to come to Christ.
