The Celestial pastor was not alone. While the crisis lasted, some members of the Trade Union who marched on the National Assembly were heard saying, "for every pot hole on the Nigerian road, for every child that dies in the hospital over lack of drugs, there is an Etteh who is responsible for it"
Speaking to this reporter recently, the pastor of the Celestial Church in Egbeda Lagos said "I had to use her as a metaphor because I was disgusted by the behavior of the lady"
| "Every Etteh in your
house, in your family, in your offices, God will impeach them..." |
 |
"I wonder why and how could a lady, who ordinarily looks motherly, if not rustic, could append her signature on a funny contract that was meant to renovate a building that has just been vacated by another top Nigerian who is likely to have better or higher taste than her?
"How could she have thought she could justify such appetite and expenditure in a country where so many people are hungry and almost hopeless?
"The saga, the Shepherd said, "just revealed to us the nature of man. If that money she wanted to use for renovation is allocated to Ikire, the sleepy town she comes from, the better part of her kinsmen will stop hawking dodo Ikire along the Ibadan-Ife Express road.
"Rather than think of her people, she was budgeting for body massaging machine. She is a typical problem of Nigeria and that is why we have to pray that "every Etteh in our country, God will remove them.
"And I still pray that every Etteh in our family, God will impeach them if they will not resign in the name of Jesus."
Do I hear you say Amen?
