To forgive is to stop being angry or bitter against some one. To forgive is to dismiss from ones mind all unkind feelings and the desire to blame and punish somebody (Heb. 8:12) to forgive is to say that someone need not repay a debt he owed. (Mt. 18:21­35.)

We owe God a debt which we could not pay by our own strength. The debt by reason of sin to others. Our worthlessness makes it impossible for us to be sold to pay the debt. But God decided to pay the debt for us with His own blood so that He might get us back to Himself. There is forgiveness with God for the greatest sins, if they be repented of (Mt. 6:12 & 14-15)

Without an offence, there is no forgiveness" Be willing to forgive and accommodate. Make forgiveness a constant practice until it becomes a habitual character, Forgive the rich, the poor, the old and the young. Forgiveness is of God. He taught us to forgive because He first forgave. In.3:16.

Forgiveness is a spirit and it takes one filled with the spirit of God to forgive. Have a forgiving spirit and develop it until it becomes part of you. Ask for the grace to forgive even when it seems difficult to forgive. Forgiveness is a great step towards obtaining favour in the sight of the Lord. (I Sam. 24)

God is a forgiver and He is always ready and willing to forgive the sinner and the offender. (ls.1:18. Dan. 9:9) God will not cast out forever. (Ps. 30:5a; 32:1-2; 85:2. ) While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. (Rom. 5:8.) In I In. 4:9-11 we were taught to love one another.

If you love your brother you will be ready to forgive him when he offends you, no matter the gravity of the offence. Your forgiveness can not be too much. Quarrels will sometimes happen even among fellow believers, but it scriptural that we forgive one another in such cases. Forgive one another out of love. (Eph. 4:32, Col. 3: 13; Mk. 11 :25­26).

Forgiveness begets forgiveness. If you forgive you will also be forgiven by someone. Forgiveness brings peace and good heart to the soul and body. "Forgiveness brings peace and good health to the soul and body. "Unforgiveness can not make heaven". Rom. 12:21. Christ left us an example to follow. Lk. 23:34. Acts 7:60. Unforgiveness brings tension, poor health and death. "DON'T POSTPONE FORGIVENESS, IT IS DANGEROUS"

Dear reader, don't go to bed without forgiving someone. Don't hold anybody in your heart, release anyone you are holding in your heart, you don't know when death will knock at your door. If your want to be forgiven, then forgive others.

Unforgiveness brings or leads to unanswered prayers. It brings hindrance to prayers. Have you been hurt and falsely accused of something you have not done, and due to that you said you will not forgive? Remember they did it to Him who is our Lord, then who are we.

Do not revenge, don't fight but leave everything for God. Let God be true and all men liars. "Remember also that God fight for those who don't fight for themselves" Learn also to say sorry when you offend someone. It brings peace to funning and boiling heart. It brings cleansing and makes us to be acceptable in the sight of the Lord. (Mt. 5:23­24) forgive all others who in the past has hurt you in one way or the other. You are not forgiving them because they deserve it but because you want to please God.

Refusal to forgive them from your heart will result in you- not having your breakthrough. Forget about injuries that has been done. If you require mercy from God show mercy to others. Whether the fault is from your side or not make a move to settle this quarrel. Again your refusal to settle the rift will hinder your complete deliverance. Mk. 11 :25­26.

Remember the Lord's answer to Peter in Mt. 18:21-22 Jesus said unto him not until seven times but until Seventy times Seven. Forget about your position in the Church, be you a minister or not, go the extra mile to make peace. Put aside your academic qualifications and age difference and don't say he has to come first.

Forget about the past and move forward. An offence that has been committed since 1948 is still in your heart in the year 2000, no wonder you are still suffering after many years of your conversion. Be reminded that unforgiveness cannot and will not help one makes Heaven.

Finally brethren, he who has not forgiven his brother has never truly repented of his sinful ways. It is important and necessary for us to forgive and doors of favour, victory, financial breakthrough will be opened for us. There will also be peace in our homes and marriages. Let Pastors forgive Church members and let Church members do the same.

Husbands forgive your wives, wives forgive your husbands, parents forgive your children, Children forgive your parents and masters forgive your servants. Be compassionate and pitiful. If the Lord of host is your God, then you must be like Him. Forgive God bless you.
