Preparatory to the soon coming of Christ, in China a new wave of revival has been sweeping souls away from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God, so disclosed Brother Yun, a Chinese Christian leader in an interview with CBN News.

China is one of the countries in the Far East which experienced a very low slow growth rate of Christian movement as Communism closed the door to the Gospel in 1949. From a population of one million believers in China in 1949, today there are over eighty million disciples of Jesus Christ there.

"The Church in China are experiencing this powerful move of God because they allow the Holy Spirit to have His place in their midst. The Church leaders are careful to give the Holy Spirit His place in directing the work. They allow God's spirit free course to move anyhow and where He wills."

Another secret for the ongoing revival in the Chinese Church is their commitment to a powerful vision of the Great Commission. "As the Church is busy fulfilling God's purposes of evangelising the world for the Master, He continues to pour out His spirit upon them."

They believe it is the responsibility of the church to preach the gospel to their generation because it is until the gospel be preached among all nations that the end will come, a stated in Matt.24:14.

Another remarkable agent of revival in the Chinese church is their total believe in the continual infillings of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers. As a result of their conservative lifestyles, the believers in China order their lives according to the word of God. "While they are broken and weeping in their assemblies/ meetings, the West are telling jokes."

Although they are poor but this has not hindered them from living holy before God. Many do not have Bibles, but those who do study much to see what God says ab01it living a Christian life.

The Christians in China believe in a miracle-working God. There is an expectation that God will confirm His word with miracles. 80% of the Church has experienced miracles of some sort or another. They never glorify the miracles; they glorify God.

Christians in China hold most of their meetings in homes. They call them House Churches out of conviction. They meet in homes because they believe it is more biblical. It is also true that they have to because of persecution, but the primary reason is evangelical in nature.

M.N. Yun, one of the House Church leaders in China who has been praying steadfastly for revival for years explained in his book, 'Heavenly Man' that the great Commission has not changed which is that until the gospel is taken to the ends of the earth, people are just playing with God and are not really serious about the truth.

According to him, "we have to kneel" down at the foot of the Cross of Jesus and weep for our lukewarmness and lethargy. Tears always come first before the Lord truly moves. He will never pour His blessing out on unsanctified and selfish flesh. The Cross of Jesus must be at the centre of everything we do. If we do these things we will see revival."

Commenting on why miracles, signs and wonders are so prevalent in China, he explained that the greatest miracles people are very much concerned about are not the healings or other things, but lives transformed by the gospel. We believe we are not called to follow sings and wonders, but instead the signs and wonders follow us when the gospel is preached. We don't keep our eyes on the signs and wonders; we keep our eyes on Jesus," he concluded.
