WHAT
Currently, we are compiling names of Nigerian women, living or dead, who have touched lives and shaped destinies of people through their singular acts of fellow-feeling, services in public and private lives, profession and professional excellence, calling and ministries.

This is a non-religious compilation and acknowledgement of the contributions of Nigerian women. The web site is tentatively called www.100nigerianwomen.com

WHY
* Our purpose is to chronicle the lives and contributions of these women and document it on the internet with a view to globalising their experience.
* In a country with little respect for documentation and data, the contributions of our women to our socio-cultural development could be lost if deliberate efforts are not made to chronicle and document them for posterity.
* In a country in search of heroines, we need to generate and promote the valourous contributions of our women and promote them as heroines. Must we always search the Euro-American history for people to motivate our children?
* Through this website, we desire to inspire the younger Nigerian lady in particular and African women in general to aspire to greater heights, learning the precepts from the lives of these women who have contributed immensely to the shaping of lives and destinies.

WHO
They are professionals, public servants, pastors, schorlars, entrepreneurs, mothers who have lived exemplary lives.

Each of these women would be given a page on the website. We shall focus on their early lives, their education, their principles, their turning points, family, professions, calling, ministries, contributions, successes and failure and advices for the younger generation.

HOW
Below are some names suggested by Nigerians. We are amazed at, and grateful for, these quick responses we got so far. For any name to be acceptable to us, it must be sponsored (mentioned) by three people.

Reasons for sugesting a particular name must be given.
This compilation will go on for two months.
We shall stop immediately we raise the 150th name.

The final list of 100 women to be use on this website shall be decided by a panel to be setup later.
