Poems

How could You be so foolish?

How could You be so foolish?
To have told the indigent
To say
"I'm rich"
Even in the midst of apparent lack.

How could You be so foolish?
To have instructed the weak
To say
"I'm strong"
Even when obvious he's dying.

How could You be so foolish?
To have woken your servant
In the midst of the night
To go preaching in wilderness
Even when it was obvious
Nobody would be there.

How could You be so foolish?
To have ordered him
Walk in the wilderness
And promised to make a way,
Even when no traces were seen

How could You be so foolish?
To have asked him to walk
In the valley of the shadows of death
And promised neither to leave nor forsake him,
Even in daring death.

How could You be so foolish?
To have given a tasty man
Rock to smite
In place of water to drink
Even when You know the water is more to be desired

Can a prescription for headache
Answer for stomach upset?
Yet,
I've a belief in His foolishness
For He has ascended to the highest mountain
And poured down water
Like a mighty rushing wind

Even though, rivers are known on the surface
Yet,
Has He done this,
Called " Water Falls "
And if He could do this
I believe the rest are no exception

For his foolishness is far greater
Than the wisdom of man
And until you become foolish
In the sight of men,
You can never be wise in His sight.
Did I ever say God is foolish?
That must've been "a sleep of tongue".
Or what do you think?

Isn't the absence of fear'
It is going ahead despite the fear.
A daring deed in a moment's flash.
A deep feeling in the soul of man.
That is working always to serve some plans.

Salute! To a man of courage.
Who fails but never yield.
Who dares to have his share.
Who holds fear a minute longer.
Who shakes the shakeable
Moves the moveable
And challenge the challengeable.

Salute! To a man of courage
Who has courage for the great sorrows of life
Patience for the small ones
And when he has arduously accomplished his daily task
Goes to sleep in peace
Knowing fully well that God is awake
When there is no money, half is gone
When there is no courage, all is gone.
So you've got to be courageous.
