There are 3 Laws for Facing Hard times:

In the last edition we discussed the first law for facing hard times. The first law for facing hard times can be summarized as follows:

Don't allow any hard time to break you, to cause you to quit, give up and lose hope.

If you are faced with a hard time/s, this is what you must do. As long as what you are involved in is a GOD given vision, and you have done all that you are supposed to do well, stick with it, no matter the negative circumstances or conditions. Stay holy, stay in the Bible, GOD will exonerate you and will without fail turn the situation around to favor you. Romans 8:28 says, “ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” As a born again child of GOD, you love GOD, and GOD has called you according to a particular purpose. Stay in GOD'S purpose for your life and you will defeat every negative circumstance/s that will ever come your way. Don't quit! Don't give up!

Here is the second law for Facing Hard times:

Law Number Two: Understanding why your hard time/s is so unbearable.

Many years ago in our church, we had a lady whose prayer request seemed unanswerable. At every service she will be crying out to GOD. She will call my office crying, she will even call my home crying. This lady was facing a hard time in her life which seemed unbearable to her. She was not living in sin, she was a model Christian that was been challenged by the devil. She bound the devil, cast the devil, and did all the deliverance things you can think of, nothing worked. Her situation brought so much pressure on my wife and I that we decided to ask the LORD how to help her. We took her situation to prayer, immediately I knelt down, thanked the LORD and mentioned her name, the LORD simply told me to tell her this Scripture, 1 Corinthians 10:14 .

The LORD said that her situation has become unbearable because she violated 1 Corinthians 10:14. Please catch this, I Corinthians 10:14 says, “Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.”

The LORD said, her situation has become unbearable because she had made her hard time an idol. She talked about the problem all the time, morning, afternoon and night. All her prayer requests were focused on the same problem. She goes to bed worried and thinking about the hard time and she wakes up with the hard time on her mind. The hard time had taken the place of GOD in her life. As a result, the devil moved in with a lie to convince her that the problem is now unsolvable.

Can you identify with this lady's situation? The hard time she faced was real, but it was not unbearable because 1 Corinthians 10:13 says , in the Amplified Bible , “…..no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.”

Beloved, it is simply not true that there is absolutely no way out of the hard time that is facing you. GOD says in HIS WORD, that no matter what the problem or situation is, that HE had already made a way for you to escape, to come out victoriously out of the problem.

Listen, the lady in our church believed a lie for almost two years that her problem could not be solved. Would you like to know how her problem was solved? If I tell you this, it will sound ridiculous, yet it was the truth. The LORD told me to teach her 1 Corinthians 10:14, tell her to give the problems to GOD, I Peter 5:7, then tell her to go back to her house, and simply sing to the LORD every single day at her kitchen area . Why her kitchen area of the house? The LORD said this was the place where she did most of her complaining and crying about the hard time. The lady went home straight to her kitchen and started singing to GOD. She sang for two weeks and her hard times of two years was broken. Praise GOD! I sense by the HOLY SPIRIT that someone reading this article will also get their breakthrough as they exchange fear, doubt, worry, complaining about their problems with praising GOD. Child of GOD, do what you are supposed to do and give GOD praise and you will receive in physical manifestation your breakthrough! Hebrews 13:5 says, offer HIM a sacrifice of praise Alleluia!

May be this is what is going on in your mind right now. Praise GOD? Does praise really work? Well, I praise GOD only at church, but at home I am too tired with problems to praise GOD. In fact I don't have the energy or strength to praise. This problem is too much for me. What I want is this, man of GOD just pray for me so that GOD will solve my problem. The moment my problem is solved, I will praise GOD. This idea of praising GOD when I am suffering is just pretending. I am not happy about the problems and I don't feel like praising. If I praise GOD when I don't feel like it, I am just being a hypocrite. My own situation is different, I live in ………, you cannot compare my trouble with the little problems of more privileged people.

Beloved, do you know that most people who are going through hard times any where in the world believe that their problems are the biggest problem on the earth? Living in Nigeria has nothing to do with why you think that your hard time is unbearable. The way you feel about your problem is from the lie that the devil has sold you.

You see, spiritual things control natural things. But spiritual things move in realms atmosphere and seasons. Psalms 22:3 tells you the atmosphere that must be in place before GOD can help you. The issue is not about what you and I think or feel. The issue is understanding how GOD works by studying how HE helped other people in the Bible who had hard times. Romans 15:4 says that the Bible is written so that we can learn not so that we can pick and choose and disagree. I understand how you feel, but you still need a breakthrough. If you do, let's with humility go back to the Bible and see how you can get victory in this unbearable situation.

Let me show you some examples from the Bible. In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat was faced with a hard time, which the devil called “ a great multitude.” The King being a human being did what any normal person will do. He looked at the great multitude and became afraid. Yes, he was worried and afraid, but he also did what a Christian should always do when faced with a hard time. He didn't stay worried, he didn't go to the devil or occult to find out what he should do. He didn't get angry with GOD. Instead he went to GOD on his knees with prayer and fasting. When he called out to GOD, the LORD told them to sing and offer praises to GOD. Now, the natural mind will say, how can singing be used to defeat this great multitude? This does not make any sense to me. But it worked, you need something from the Bible that will work for you. They praised GOD and received their deliverance from a situation that looked unbearable.

The problem is that sometimes some people who mean well do not know that complaining is synonymous to singing praises to the devil. Beloved, when you are complaining and worried about how hard your hard time is, you are simply giving glory to the devil. As a Christian you are called to give glory to GOD. As a child of GOD, everything you do should give glory to GOD! For example, in Acts 16, Paul and Silas went through a vey hard time, but they did not sing in the devil's choir. They endured it and gave GOD praise. As they praised GOD, the POWER of GOD manifested and delivered them from their hard time Alleluia!

Let's consider another example, in Romans 4: 20, Abraham man handled the hard time that came to him by ignoring the devil and giving glory to GOD. Yes, your situation is difficult, but GOD is telling you right now, enough is enough! Give this trouble to ME, live right, stop complaining and start praising GOD right now!

Beloved, there is still hope for you. It is not too late for you to get married, your time is not over. Remember Sarah in Hebrews 11. The Bible says that after she was past age she still received a breakthrough. In the MIGHTY NAME of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth I declare over your life, that time may fail you but your season will not fail you. Today marks the beginning of your miracle in JESUS MIGHTY NAME Amen!

Stick with praise because you are formed and called to praise GOD! 1 Peter 2:9; Isaiah 43:21. If you praise GOD, your problem will be cut down to its normal size. No hard time can be unbearable in the life of a solid Christian who is a committed praiser. Praise GOD today, praise HIM so much it become mountains! Mountains of Praise is always your key to victory in life.

The lady in our church received her miracle through praise, then she did one more biblical thing that permanently destabilized her hard time. When GOD delivered her, she came back to church and did a thanksgiving to the LORD. Glory be to GOD!
